About the Ph.D. programme
The Sociology Area is part of two PhD programs, which lead to the award of a PhD degree by the University of Malaga:
The doctoral program linked to the area of sociology, in both programs, consists of a one-year training period, articulated mainly from the completion of the Master’s Degree in Applied Sociology in its research profile and, subsequently, a three-year research period in which the priority lines of research are established as comparative social structures, segregation, social networks, social capital, sociology of the family, gender studies and feminism, demographic behavior, international migration, political sociology, sociology of organizations, aging, labor market, European integration and collective identities and social change.
